When you look at thriller book covers, you can usually spot knives, blood, ghostly women in white, vampires and dark backgrounds.

Book covers from every genre have many similarities and it is undeniably true. If you are a fantasy writer, probably you can relate to the trends shown in the infographic above.

    Really interesting graphic on Fantasy book cover trends. Seemed everything went down from 2008 to 2009, though I wonder if that was because of the growing trend of covers across the board leaning toward the symbolic rather than depictions of characters and scenes. I’ve seen that a lot on new book covers these days.
