Writing Memoir on Social Media

I’m doing something in the room and The Boy walks in stealthily from behind me and suddenly there is a shower of bubbles in the air and lots of childish laughter. I turn my face and I see a host of bubbles floating up and up and up towards the light, their shiny surfaces catching the light and turning them into iridescent rainbow hues. It’s hard to tell how each bubble will float away, where it will stick and when it will burst.  But together they transform the room.

Actually I’m not just sitting here doing something. I’m writing yet another blog post. It isn’t unusual at all while I’m writing for a childish face to peek in and insist on typing a word or two or close a window or want to check out a blinking light below the touchpad. But bubbles? They are new.

How To Fight Blog Burnout !

Fighting Blog Burnout

Whoever blogs will know that consistency matters in providing quality contents regularly to your followers. When you stop posting something useful on your blog, the traffic to your blog slows down. Some of your readers would send you emails asking if everything is alright with you! Yes, it has happened to me before when I got sidetracked with a day job and other commitments.

But, it always feels great to get back to blogging anytime of the day. I feel like being rewarded when I finally hit that ‘publish’ button! What happens the following day is even awesome! I get to read some feedback from random readers. I get to share my opinions and they get to tell what they feel about the issue I wrote about earlier.

Although consistency matters, if you continue to publish great articles whenever you blog, you will not entirely lose your readers. They will still get to see your posts if they are following you via e-mail.

If you are receiving ARC’s, let the authors know what they get in return (of course, a review! But when and where?). I’m opening book review submissions for books that I think matter to me and the world in general. Anything that’s related to human rights, women, history, memoirs and etc. I accept paperbacks and in return, authors will get a review, an ‘Author Live Chat with Fans’ session and author spotlight on IBP’s site!

So, what do you do when you have this blog burnout and you don’t feel like blogging anymore even though you think you enjoy doing it?

Create Content Without Actually Creating It

How To Create Content Without Actually Creating It

Managing your blog and creating contents on a regular basis can be difficult, especially when you are too busy handling other work online. What happens when you don’t engage with you followers by creating quality contents regularly? The traffic to your website drops over the time and people lose the interest to engage with your posts.

Use some of the ideas above to add interesting articles or contents on your blog. It saves your time and your audience get beneficial information from your blog.

The Facebook Posting Rule

Facebook Posting Rule

What you thought you know about Facebook posting?

1) Adding links to your post is effective for marketing — Not anymore! Facebook is a business and if you are posting something on your fanpage to gain profit, you should be paying for the paid advertisement. That’s what they want. Refrain from posting links directly. Type what you want your followers to know in a sentence, post the link in the comment instead.

2) #Hashtags #works #the #way #you #want — Hell no! Use hashtags only when you know that those keywords will help people to discover your posts better. Do not tag keywords like #sex #porn #sexy when your post is all about “Finding the Right Career” just because you think these tags work better.

3) Picture are useless — Sometimes, images can help you in sending the message out to followers better.

4) One size fit all — What works for your friend in marketing may not work for you on Facebook. Trial and errors will tell you what works for you.
